“My journey in Canada began three years ago when my family and I arrived in this wonderfully welcoming country. From the start, we could tell how open Canadians are to people from different cultures.

We didn’t know anyone, but thanks to the kindness, support and various programmes available, we settled in quickly.

We immediately felt welcome. With every step, with every bit of support, I felt a connection to this land. It is here that I found my place, and through volunteering, I have formed a deep bond with this country.  I discovered volunteering at Nova Horizons, and it has become my calling.

Canada has become my home, and I will be forever grateful for the way it has opened its’ heart to me.   I believe that what makes Canada unique is that here, every immigrant can feel part of a new family.”
