NS Resettlement Society

Offering people who flee war and natural disaster a warm welcome and hope for the future.

“NS Resettlement Society has been a vital place for me and my family. It’s where I’ve been able to give back to the community, support newcomers in need, and grow personally and professionally. Through volunteering and leadership opportunities, I’ve found a sense of purpose, belonging, and hope. ”

- Asif Safi, newcomer from Afghanistan who arrived in Canada February 2023

What We Do…

“The NS Resettlement Society is very proud to operate our service centre, Nova Horizons.

Most newcomers first come to Nova Horizons looking for furniture – a dining table, chairs or a bed.  What they find, and what brings them back, are volunteers who understand their experiences and a place that offers hope and belonging.”
