At Nova Horizons, we support newcomers whose lives have been shattered by unimaginable events completely beyond their control.  We help create a safe home so they can start to imagine, and build, a new future. 

Since 2023, we’ve collected and distributed over $500,000 worth of donated furniture - all donated by Nova Scotians and all provided free to newcomers.   

• Furniture is free to eligible newcomers who have lived in Nova Scotia for 12 months or less 

• Distribution guidelines help us manage inventory

• Volunteers are available to pick-up donations and deliver items to their new homes

• Nova Horizons (380A Bedford Highway, Halifax NS), our warehouse and operating center is open to serve newcomers and for donation drop-offs: Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
